Story of kite flying
Over time, kite flying spread to other parts of the world, including Japan, India, and Korea. In Japan, kites were used for religious ceremonies and as a means of communication between villages. In India, kites were flown during festivals like Makar Sankranti, which celebrates the arrival of spring.
Kite flying has a rich and diverse history that dates back thousands of years. Its origins are believed to be in China, where kites were first used for military purposes. Kites were used as a form of signaling and communication, as well as for measuring distances and testing the wind. Today, kite flying is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, and is celebrated around the world through festivals, competitions, and community events. Kites come in all shapes and sizes, from traditional diamond-shaped kites to elaborate designs that resemble animals, dragons, and even cartoon characters.
